Shankar J

Shankar J is a PhD Scholar in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, specializing in biomedical signal processing. With over 10 years of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor at A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University and hands-on industry expertise in the telecom sector, he brings a rare blend of academic and practical knowledge.

He earned his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from the University College of Engineering (UCE), Kariavattom (University of Kerala) and his M.Tech in Communication Systems from SRM University, Chennai. His innovative research on network selection for 4G wireless networks received the Springer Best Paper Award at ICMT 2013 and was published in Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering.

Shankar is a dedicated IEEE Volunteer, Mentor of Change (Atal Tinkering Lab, AIM, NITI Aayog, Govt of India), and licensed Amateur Radio Operator (VU3FIY). He is a recipient of multiple IEEE awards and has won several honors for leadership and volunteer contributions to student and academic communities.
